Hey Happy Sorters!
What’s one of your favorite things to do in the Spring? One of mine is taking walks with my pug, Seven! Here he is! While National Pet Day was on April 11th, I feel like it should be celebrated every day!

The day is a great reminder to not only indulge our pets with love and affection but also to ensure their spaces are organized, functional, and comfortable. They make our days a little brighter, even when they’re "helping" us with our work. After all, our little friends deserve the best, don't they?
I encourage everyone to share a picture of their favorite furry, feathered, or scaly friends with me! Check out some of my client’s “supawrvisors” below.

No matter if you have one pet, or a whole menagerie, keeping things organized always helps. Here are some things to set up or to add in for your pet’s needs:
Pet Documents
It's helpful to keep your pet’s documents organized and easy to find. You could create a binder, a file box, and/or upload electronic documents to your computer or cloud service. By keeping these documents updated and organized frequently, you'll make all necessary tasks easier and ensure your pet's safety and well-being.
Here are some of the main things that you should keep on hand for your furry friends:
Vet Records: File all vet visit records chronologically including treatments, surgeries, and vaccinations
Tags: Check identification and microchip tags annually to keep contact info updated
Insurance Documents: If you have pet insurance, keep all related paperwork together (Seven is covered by www.pumpkin.care pet insurance)
Dog Walking Station
Creating a well-organized dog walking station can make your daily walks with your doggo (or even your cat!) more enjoyable and hassle-free. Having the following items in one designated spot ensures that you are always prepared for any adventure.
Use hooks or pegs to hang leashes, collars, and harnesses neatly
Store poo bags and treats in labeled containers or baskets
Keep any weather gear/ reflective gear in a drawer or bin that’s easily reachable
Toy Storage
All pets enjoy toys, but they end up all over the house, right? Keep a bin in a main area to avoid the "toy minefield" effect. Seven's bin happens to be a large, heavy, painted ceramic flower pot---this prevents chewing, tipping, and crushing when he goes digging for toys! Also consider a larger lidded hamper or chest for when company comes over for a quick stash of the toys and blankets—because let's be honest, your furry friend isn't great at tidying up!
Finally, does your buddy have more toys than you know what to do with, or clothes that are now too snug because of all those extra treats? 😉 Consider donating some to your local animal shelter. While you’re at it, take a peek at their food stash to see if there’s any unopened food they turned their nose up at—because, let's face it, pets can be picky eaters. Also, do a quick sift through your linen closet to find any sheets or old towels you can gift to the shelter to make those living there more comfortable.
I hope you have been inspired with some ideas to incorporate into your home!
